Robert Corbett is currently serving as owner and General Manager of Express Protect, which originally began as a joint venture direct marketing call center with Protective Life Corporation. In 2010, Corbett began operations of the call center, whose main goal was to offer an aftermarket follow up program to sell vehicle service contracts on behalf of dealers with whom Protective has relationships. The call center direct marketed on behalf of over 500 automotive dealers including AutoNation, which is the largest dealer group in the nation. Through the AutoNation relationship, Corbett has been able to secure agreements to direct market many of the major auto manufacturer’s vehicle service contracts including GM, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and Honda. In 2014, Corbett took over full ownership of the operations, renamed the call center and continues to do business with AutoNation and one other major dealership group.
Prior to partnering with Protective, Corbett was Chief Executive Officer and President of two direct marketing call center operations from 2004-2010. At the height of the call center operations, Corbett oversaw the mailing of over 4.5 million direct mail pieces per month, which generated approximately 5000 vehicle service contracts sales per month.
Corbett has been a leader in the vehicle service contract direct marketing industry for at least 19 years. He began his career in the industry as the General Manager of one of the first direct marketing call centers exclusively designed to sell aftermarket vehicle service contracts. Consumer Automotive Consultants was a leader in the industry and went on to become one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, generating over $50 million in annual revenue at its peak.
